Who we are and what we do
The Annapolis West Health
Foundation is a non-profit organization. Established in 1992, we function as
the trustee of funds donated or bequeathed to the Annapolis Community Health
Centre (ACHC), a full service facility in Annapolis Royal that provides basic
health care.
The ACHC serves residents from the
Annapolis/Digby county line, east to Dalhousie West, Tupperville, Upper
Granville and Hampton, and from Maitland Bridge to the Bay of Fundy shore.
For information on services and hours of
operation of the Annapolis Community Health Centre, you can visit the Annapolis
Valley Health website at www.avdha.nshealth.ca/ and click on
Programs and Services.
Our Foundation mandate is to ensure sustainable
funding to enhance quality health and wellness initiatives in Annapolis West.
We provide the financial resources that currently support four major
initiatives:
As health care costs increase, the mandate of
the Foundation becomes even more essential. Our job is to fill the financial
gap left by the shortfall between government funding and the services we would
like to maintain at the ACHC. That's why we have just launched our new Planned
Giving program. Please learn more about it by clicking here
We are also always looking for
new members for the Annapolis West Health
Foundation Society. Learn how you can be involved in setting priorities for the
financial sponsorships and expenditures made by the Annapolis West Health
Foundation.
