Education Program

The goal of the AWHF Education Committee is to secure future staff for the Annapolis Community Health Centre. Along with our cost-share partners - the Annapolis Valley District Health Authority and the ACHC Auxiliary - our mandate is to provide two bursaries annually for two candidates pursuing a career in a health-care related field.

The bursaries, in the amount of $4,000 annually, will be given for two to four years, depending on the course of study. The candidates are guaranteed a full-time job, and in return, must sign an agreement to work for Annapolis Valley Health for the length of time they are sponsored. For the Health Centre, this means we will continue to have qualified staff we need.

The program is open to Annapolis West Education Centre graduates and or AWEC grads who have finished their first year of a program leading to a degree or diploma in a health care field.
